Microstrategy is a leading BI reporting tool, which provides a complete solution for enterprise reporting and analysis.
All you need to create a customize metadata from your datasource (any database e.g. Oracle, SQL Server, Sybase etc.)
It has got a very nice interface and well documented help to guide you through out the development process.

For creating a good metadata you must know-

# The Fact table
# The dimension tables
# Attributes
# Facts (Metrics)
# Derived Metrics (Compound Metircs)
# Relationships among tables (Keys)

Once you are done with the metadata, you can proceed for creating reports.

Microstrategy Desktop Reporting - This is a very powerful interface from where you can create reports and administrate them too.

Microstrategy Web Reporting - This is the place where you can create reports and share them across the web.
